CVS: My Shopping Trip

I received a CVS coupon via email for $2 off any Biore purchase and even though I have never used Biore products I figured I would put the coupon to use because CVS has them on sale along with an ExtraCare Bucks (ECB) rewards which I calculated would make the products free for me - and this is an example of just why I love couponing - couponing often allows you to try products you never have before for absolutely free and who doesn't love free!?!?!

So here's what I did to pick up some Biore products and take advantage of some other sales this week...I chose to split my trip up in three transactions so that I could "roll" my ECBs and keep my out of pocket expense down....

Transaction 1:
1 - Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser
1 - Biore Deep Cleaning Pore Strips
Sale: 2/$15 + Receive $5 ECB
Total = $15.00
Used 1 - Buy One Get One Free Biore ($8.39) MQ
Used 1 - $2 off any Biore purchase CVS email coupon
Used 1 - $1.50 off any Biore product MQ
Used $2 ECB from last week
New Total = $1.11
Paid $1.86 after tax
Received $1 ECB for green bag tag
Received $5 ECB for spending $15 on Biore

Transaction 2:
1 -  Always Radiant Infinity pads - sale $3.99
Total = $3.99
Used 1 - $1/1 Always pads MQ
Used $1 ECB from trnx #1 (above)
New Total = $1.99
Paid $2.14 after tax
Received $2 ECB for Always purchase
Received $1 ECB for green bag tag

Transaction 3:
1 -  Pantene Shampoo
1 -  Pantene Conditioner
Sale: 2/$6.97
1 -  Always Radiant Infinity pads - sale $3.99
Total = $10.96
Used 1 - $1/2 Pantene coupon MQ
Used 1 - $1/1 Always pads coupon MQ
Used $1 ECB from trnx #2
Used $2 ECB from trnx #2
Used $5 ECB from trnx #1
New total = $0.96
Paid $1.46 after tax
Received $2 ECB for Always purchase
PLUS these purchases count towards the Beauty Club and I will receive $5 ECB when I scan my card at the coupon center tomorrow :)

So after it's all said and done, I spent only $5.46 for all six products and have $7 ECB left to spend - which is like getting everything for FREE and CVS paying me $1.54 for shopping at their stores! :)
