Couponing: Mini Session

I just love living down the street from a CVS - it's hard to stay away from it sometimes :)

Anywho, I ran in for a quick mini-session and here's what I scored...

My Deal:

1 - Complete solution - on sale for $8.99
4 - Tinker Bell Character Bands - $0.10 each
Total = $23.36
Used 1-$1/1 Complete solution coupon (received from Food Lion coupon kiosk)
Used 1-$2/1 Depend CVS coupon
Used 1-$2/1 Depend manufacture coupon
Used 1-Buy One Get One free manufacture coupon from Sunday's paper (4/1)
            [which deducted the full $5.99 which is non-sale price]
Used $3.50 ECB, $0.50 ECB, and $8.99 ECB from previous purchase and quarterly rewards
Paid only $0.05 including tax! and received $10.99 in ECBs for my next adventure

By the way, I plan on using the Depends as a gag-gift for my mom's 50th Birthday :) She's probably reading this right now but I'm sure she'll forget all about it by the time her B-day rolls around lol - Love you Mom!

Couponing: Freebies!

Here are a couple of quick and easy freebies you can score this week that I've seen so far...

Couponing: Price Adjustments & Mini Sessions

About a week ago or so ago I purchased the Dora Easter DVD at Target on sale for $9.99 only to find that this week it is on an even bigger sale for $6.99! So today I went back to Target for my very first price adjustment which went smoothly. I recently learned that Target gladly offers price adjustments on items that you have bought that go on sale after you have made your purchase. The only stipulation here is that it must be within 14 days to get the adjustment. All you need to do is bring in your receipt along with a copy of the current AD to easily get your money back for the difference.

While at Target, I figured I would do a little couponing and here's what I got...

My Deal:
4 - Glade room sprays $0.97 each
1 - Tums Freshers $2.49
Total = $6.37 + Tax
Used 2 - $2/2 Glade coupons
Used 1 - $1.50/1 Tums Freshers coupon
Used 1 - $0.75/1 Tums Freshers target coupon
Swiped my Target Debit card for 5% off
Paid $0.30

*Update* Go to Target Coupons to print the $1 off Glade air refreshing item which also means free air fresheners!

Then I headed over to CVS to get my Quarterly reward ExtraCare bucks and while there I picked up one of these which also shows an example of a peelie coupon I previously told you about...

Currently CVS is advertising these on sale for $8.99 and in return for your purchase you will get $8.99 in ExtraCare Bucks (ECBs) which means it's like getting it for FREE! Now to my pleasant surprise there was a $1.00 peelie which now turns this into not only free but a $1.00 money maker! Now for me, I already have ECBs to use so here's what I was able to do...

My Deal:
1 - Complete Multi-Purpose Solution 12oz. - $8.99
Use $1.00 off peelie coupon
Use $1 ECB, $4.50 ECB, & $2.50 ECB
Paid $0.04 and received $8.99 ECB for next purchase

Walmart: Gift Set Clearance Deal

Here's a really great deal you can score right now at Walmart Online but act quickly since these are clearance items and some sets have already sold out! These sets could make great Mother's Day/Father's Day gifts or just to add to your own personal care stockpile.

Here's the deal:

Currently Walmart Online is offering 2 Big Value Gift Sets for only $12 for both (so only $6 each!) These gifts sets have a value of $30 which is a savings of $18 - BUT WAIT there's more :) If you select a set that also offers the free magazine subscription, you can choose to opt out of the subscription and get a rebate for $9.99! Ah-mazing! I just love rebates :)

So here's what I just did:

My Deal:
Buy 2 - Best In Beauty gift sets (value of $28 each)
Total = $12 + tax + shipping
Pay only $13.57

I will be taking advantage of the rebate for both sets which means I will receive two checks for $9.99 each - so if you consider that this means that I paid $13.57 and will get $19.98 back which turns this into a money maker and I will come out getting paid $6.41 for this purchase! And if all that wasn't good enough, each of these sets comes with a coupon book - exciting!

CVS: Coupon Center

Let me introduce you to magic that is the CVS Coupon Center.

One of the many reasons I love CVS is their Coupon Center. This machine is located at the front of every store and not only can the machine be used as a price checker but if you scan your card there, you will receive CVS store coupons that print out of the side of the machine. Remember, you can stack CVS store coupons with manufacture coupons for bigger savings. The good thing about these coupons is that they are good for more than just the day you print them. Some stores have coupon machines too, for instance Food Lion, but they are good for just one day only and leaves room for little planning. Not only do coupons print here, but so will your quarterly rewards, which we just discussed, and others rewards like your Beauty Club rewards, so be sure to scan your card every single time you make a visit to your CVS stores.

CVS: Quarterly Rewards

Not only does today mark a new month for new coupons, it also ends the 1st quarter of the year. "Why is this of any significance?" you may ask. Well if you are a CVS shopper, that means it's time to be rewarded for your quarterly spending :) Every time you scan your ExtraCare card it tracks how much you spend and rewards you with 2% back in ExtraCare bucks at the end of every quarter. Remember, you can use these bucks on anything you want - they are as good as cash at your CVS stores. So be sure to scan your card at the red Coupon Machine for your rewards!

Target: New Coupons

Today begins a new month...and with a new month comes new coupons!

Please be sure to head over the Target Coupons Page and print each of the coupons that interest you. Remember you can print each coupon twice from each computer. I'm sure there will be lots of "stacking" opportunities with these when paired with manufacture coupons.
